As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to face their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, in Week 9, it’s crucial to stay updated on the latest information regarding inactive players, injuries, and lineup changes. Let’s dive into the key updates for both teams.

Philadelphia Eagles:

  1. DE Derek Barnett: The veteran edge rusher is inactive for the first time this season.
  2. TE Grant Calcaterra: Calcaterra was in concussion protocol this week, and as a result, he won’t be taking the field for this matchup.
  3. QB Tanner McKee (3rd QB): The rookie will serve as the emergency quarterback, ready to step in if Jalen Hurts or Marcus Mariota face injuries.
  4. DT Moro Ojomo: With all defensive tackles healthy, the rookie will be inactive for this game.
  5. CB Bradley Roby: Roby misses his third consecutive game due to a shoulder injury.
  6. RB Boston Scott: The running back was absent from practice all week due to a personal matter.

Additionally, Guard Cam Jurgens remains out for his fifth straight game but doesn’t count against the 53-man roster as he is still on Injured Reserve. To replace Calcaterra and Scott, Tight end Albert Okwuegbunam and running back Rashaad Penny will be active. An interesting development for the Eagles is the elevation of linebacker Ben VanSumeren from the practice squad, making his NFL debut in Week 9. Furthermore, cornerback James Bradberry, despite being added to the injury report on Friday (thigh), is expected to play. Defensive tackles Jalen Carter (back) and Jordan Davis (hamstring) are good to go after participating fully in Friday’s practice. Guard Sua Opeta (hip), tight end Jack Stoll (ankle), and defensive tackle Milton Williams (shoulder) also practiced fully and have no game status designations.

Dallas Cowboys:

For the Cowboys, tackle Tyron Smith and guard Chuma Edoga, who were questionable leading up to the game, are both active and ready to contribute.

Inactive players for the Cowboys include quarterback Trey Lance (3rd QB), cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, cornerback Eric Scott, running back Deuce Vaughn, wide receiver Jalen Brooks, and defensive lineman Villiami Fehoko.

These lineup updates set the stage for what promises to be an exciting NFC East rivalry game between the Eagles and the Cowboys in Week 9.
