INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever will have a strong presence at this year’s WNBA All-Star Weekend in Phoenix. Rookie point guard Caitlin Clark, second-year center Aliyah Boston, and veteran shooting guard Kelsey Mitchell are set to showcase their talents on the big stage.

All-Star Debut for Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark, in her first year with the Fever, will make her All-Star debut in Phoenix. Clark has been a standout performer this season, ranking second in the league for 3-point baskets made with 56. She is third in average assists per game at 6.9 and has recorded two of the top five single-game assist totals. Clark also averages 16.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, solidifying her status as a rising star in the WNBA.

Aliyah Boston’s Continued Dominance

Aliyah Boston, who made history last year as the eighth rookie All-Star starter in WNBA history and later earned Rookie of the Year honors, continues to impress in her second season. Boston averages 13.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Her consistent performance has earned her a spot on Team WNBA, joining other top players not participating in the USA Basketball Women’s National Team in Paris.

Kelsey Mitchell: Leading Scorer

Veteran shooting guard Kelsey Mitchell, an All-Star in 2023, continues to lead the Fever in scoring with an average of 16.3 points per game this season. Mitchell’s scoring prowess and experience will be a significant asset for Team WNBA at the All-Star Game.

All-Star Weekend Events

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game will take place at the Footprint Center in Phoenix on July 20. In addition to the game, there will be a 3-point contest and a skills competition, where it is possible that Clark, Mitchell, or Boston could participate.

According to a WNBA press release, both Boston and Clark were among the top 10 All-Star vote-getters. The list also includes Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty), Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx), Kahleah Copper (Phoenix Mercury), Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles Sparks), Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings), Breanna Stewart (Liberty), A’Ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), and Jackie Young (Aces).
